Luxembourg is an aeternitas of the history of european integration that will have influence on the future of Europe. The name given by the inhabitants is GRAND DUCHE’ DE LUXEMBOURG applying the official national Luxembourg languages of Luxembourgish (belonging to the group of Italic family), spoken by the citizens who today live in the premiership monarchy of Luxembourg, together with the other national languages of German and French spoken by the residents of others European peoples that could be considered the Luxembourg people.

Luxembourg is situated in central-western Europe on the Ardenne Massif: it confines on the North with the Belgium, at East with Germany, in part along the Moselle river, and Luxembourg and on southern borders with France. The territory of the country of Luxembourg is quite hilly on the Ardennes Massif on southern and eastern part of the country while wide plain on northern is crossed by the Sauer river. The climate is temperate with large precipitation all along the year and low thermal excursion, mostly mite winters in the internal thanks to the Ardennes barriers. The Luxembourg GDP is one of the richest of alla Europe.

At the falling of the Western Roman Empire, this region was invaded in 457 AD by the Germans tribe of Franks that formed the Regna Austrasia ruled by the Merovingian dinasty.

With the renovatio imperii reform of Charlemagne Luxembourg entered the Carolingian Empire, as part of the Regna Lotharingia from 843 AD in accordance with the Verdun treaty until it was annexed to the Kingdom of German in 922 AD: the country was assigned to the belonged the Luxembourg County instituted in 963 AD within the Reich Empire, ruled by Ardennes-Luxembourg, Namur and Limburg-Luxembourg dinasties, until 1443 AD was it had been joined into the Flanders&Burgundy Duchy under the Kingdom of France and ruled by the Valois-Burgundy dinasty. In 1477 AD the Duchy of Luxembourg was re-annexed to Reich Empire within the Netherlands Provinces ruled by the Habsburg-Leopoldina and succeeding H.-Lothringen dinasties until 1795 AD. After the annexation to the I Empire of French (1795 - 1815 AD) ruled by Napoleon I, with the Wien was annexed to Kingdom of Netherlands until 1839 AD then ceded to the Rhin Confederation.

Finally, Luxembourg got independence in 1867 AD as Principality Luxembourg ruled by Nassau-Weilburg and Borbone-Parma dinasties until today, with capital in Luxembourg City. The Luxembourg flag is a tricoloured horizontal stripes of red, white and blue, no coats of arm even though the famous european genealogies possessed the state until today: it is founder-member of the European Union and the E.E.C. since 1957 AD meantime and of ONAT since its institution in 1949 AD.
